Can improvements be made without replacing the ERP?

Yes. Process, integration, data quality, user experience and reporting improvements can often create value without replacing the core ERP. Replacement is considered only in the context of business goals and technical debt.

Are microservices right for every project?

No. Microservices can enable independent scaling and release, but add distributed data, observability, networking and operational complexity. A modular monolith may be the better choice when the product and team do not need that independence.

How is integration ownership defined?

Ownership is documented separately for the source, target, data, error response, schema change and business rules. This distinction is especially important where several suppliers are involved.
